A great week?

This week has been a busy one and I don't think the next one will be much better. Between t-ball, R.S. stuff, dance recitals, and family visiting I am pooped. Oh and then throw in the chiropractor and a last minute trip to the Dr. office. Blah! I will give the highlights for those interested.

T-ball

See previous post. Thursday we are supposed to practice. Neighbor calls, says it's raining, call off practice and reschedule for following day. Rain stops and sun comes out, nice for remainder of day! Friday have t-ball practice in cold wind. Wahoo!

RS

Make last minute changes. Barely make it to activity after dress rehearsal for dance recital. Only 3 other people come.

Family

Arrive Thursday just in time for dinner and rush to dance recital. Leave Friday morning leaving behind Jaren's younger brother Rusty who will be staying here for awhile and working for Jaren.
Dance

Wednesday go to dress rehearsal where my Ila does a beautiful job and gets super excited about her dance recital. She was already pretty excited about it. A whole month of hype from her dance instructor helped with that. Thursday, spend day getting ready for family. Get behind in all of my "stuff". Start dinner late. Start rushing around to get ready for recital. Leave at 6 to get there by 6:15. Arrive at 6:15 and realize that recital started at 6 and not 6:30. I felt terrible. Ila missed her first number and barely made it in time for her second one. She was fine. Unfortunately Daddy and Grandpa stopped to get her flowers and missed it. She doesn't know that though so please don't tell her and blow it. She did get to participate in the finale and looked so beautiful. I hope that she remembers how excited she was and how pretty she looked in her costume and not that we were late. We brought her home and recorded her doing her dances in our living room. She was so happy to show off. Of course after everyone was in bed I started dwelling on the fact that we were late and how bad I felt and broke down in tears again! I still feel bad but I don't get as weepy about it.

Doc's

Friday I had a chiro appointment and I desperately needed it! Since Rusty was here I took advantage and left Ila and Jayce home with him. While sitting in the waiting room I looked down at her ear and noticed it was oozing. Not again I thought! So, I called and got her in to see the doc. Yep, ear infection, ruptured. Just as I suspected. The other ear was red too, however he said she had three little pustules on the exterior of her ear drum, (Think little zits) so he couldn't tell if there was infection behind it or not. Needless to say she got a heavy dose of antibiotics. The funny thing is she didn't run a fever and never even acted sick. Thursday night she was a little irritable but nothing terrible, she tugged at her ear a little but no more than usual, and she slept. Like, all night. That should have been my first clue! :)

On a happy note. We did get our garden planted on Saturday! Yippee! Now if the weather will just cooperate.

Wow, busy week, sounds like us! Call me next time and I'll help you out! Good luck on the ear infections, we can totally relate to that! My tomato's aren't looking so great, I hope they beef up and can handle the wind here in the windy city! :)

Wow, and I feel overwhelmed just doing T-ball! Don't worry about being late to the dance recital-one year when I did piano festival we totally forgot, and they had to squeeze me in between these really advanced players. I cried for, like, 5 hours about it. But at 4 years old I don't think she'll remember.

Whoa! That is busy busy! I like your description about Rusty getting left behind... like it was an accident or something... like they forgot him. haahaa! That made me giggle! :) sure love you Arin. Squeeze the kiddos 4 me. Stick out your tongue at those brothers 4 me. And then Jaren can give you a hug and it will be from me. :) haha!
